Hey JB

Just wanted to say have a friggin fabulous time in the USofA. Itís a fab country as I am sure you know. Was in Denver illegally nannying a few years back and had a ball, so have a great time there in particular. I see you are gigging in Boulder too, did you know ëMork and Mindyí was filmed there? Fab place, really pretty.

Anyway have a fab time. By the time you get back to the UK I will have finished my 1st year Geology exams. Going to the Isle of Wight Festival (9 June) to celebrate end of exams ñ will you be there? Thatís the rumour, so hope so. Will be at Blenheim Palace on 1 July when itís the official end of 1st year at uni so you might hear me celebrating. If you do come and join in, thereís always a pint ready for you pal.

Oh and if you remember, sing Rockin Robin for me please. I just love it. Failin that, In a Little While or If Thereís Any Justice would be just brilliant.

Lots of love, and keep rockin our world!!

Dear James,

Hello deary. How are you? I cannot wait to go a concert of yours, however, none of them are in my area currently, sadly. Maybe you could make it to central USA?

I really love "High", it's so beautiful. Also, I can't wait to buy your CD, just, I'm trying to save the money up right now. Glad you made it to the number once spot on the top forty. Heard you talking to Rick Des, love your beautiful voice. I've never heard or seen a more wonderful man, the lady who dumped you must be a monster.

See you soon I hope,
Beau

Mr.James Blunt,

I am a fan of yours studying in a university in Canada, but I am a Japanese girl.
I know you are coming to Japan during world tour on April. Can you imagine how much I excited about that?
I really want to go and meet you, but I can't go back to Japan now.
It made me cry terribly. And now, the tickets are sold out, my friends who are going to see your live in Shibuya, Tokyo, told me about that. Oh dear, why can't I meet you in Japan, although I am a Japanese.
I am sure that you are the best singer on the earth, because I love your music so much!
Please remember that there are many warm supporters of you even in Japan. I love you! We love you!
Please come to Japan next tour,as well, when I am there;) I'm sorry I know I don't have any right to say that, but I really love you.
I am going to go your show next time,I swear.

Please take care, I pray for your safe trip during world tour from distant.
Also, I wish you future success.
Lastly, I would say "You Are Beautiful" your music is beautiful.

P.S. English is my second language, so you must be tired of my terrible English, please forgive me,
To talk to you someday in the future, I will study English much harder!

love,
Hoshino

I am so excited that you have returned to the US. I can't wait to see you -more than once - in about 3 weeks. I'm crossing my fingers to meet you again, since we were only able to share a brief moment with each other the last time you were in Portland.

Sincerely

Hi James, I am still enjoying your music and don't worry I won't call you sentimental. I do think that you have a talented singing voice. If you ever decide to do R&B on any future CDs you would be great. Have fun touring the U.S. and I hope to see you in Atlanta!

James, love your voice really. How could you sing that way?? It's shivering. Btw, thanx for the songs. I listen to you everyday. Now, too. Even in my office your voice reigns. :) Those are just meaningful for me. Can't wait to meet you here in Jakarta, Indonesia and watch you sing. Maybe if you have time... It's kinda safe here now, though :) I'm sure lots of Jamesniacs here too. Hmm... God's so creative He created such a great-voiced man like you. Piss yo!!

Hi James,

I really love how you sing ... and the way how you behave.

I live in Paris. Unfortunately, your concert in Bataclan was full very quickly. So, i came in Hamburg, Germany, in order to see - and listen - to you. You're concert was very good but there was 2 bad points : no feedback (but it isn't you're fault. Maybe Germans drunk a little to much beer and were sleeping) and no recall ...

So, you will come back in Paris, in ZÈnith. I will be there. I know it will be a good concert. And i can't wait to be there.

See you,

Isabelle

Hey James!
Well, I guess you're quite busy at the moment, but just wanted to say some congrats on the Echo award! One is great, but in my opinion you'd have deserved both of them! ;) I mean, it's incredible how many awards you've already gotten and how often you've been nominated so far! Just to be honest, it was a bit sad for me that you weren't there to pick up the award yourself, but anyway, your speech was nice and your German is just too cute! ;) You know, I'd love to see you here in July again, but it isn't sure yet... I hope it'll work, it almost crazes me, because I so want to... But for now, furthermore every success, take care and best wishes, Ilione

Congratulations on the Echo Award. :) Thanks to the cleverness of the Boardies I got to hear you speak German... at least, I think it sounded like German... :P

Wow, to think one of my first posts was in "Spread the Love Volume 16" - and now here we are 30 volumes later. You certainly seem to have made a few new fans :)
Thankyou for the eternal delight that is Back to Bedlam, and the delicious promise that are the new songs coming out at the gigs. I look forward to seeing you perform it all live in Melbourne!! It will be an incredible event for me. Take care! x -from Honey-

Hi James,
Just to say that your concert in Aberdeen was great and it had to be one of the best things i have ever done in my life and I'm glad I made the trip down on the boat from the Shetland Isles (where I love, unfortunatly)!
I could see the emotion in your face and in No Bravery I think all of us were crying partly because you were showing the film you took when you were in Kosovo and because it has a strong meaning to it. My friends think i'm obsessed, well I am kind of but I am going to support you for the rest of my life because you are a legend! It would be great if you could come to Shetland and perform for use and maybe have a small break after all of your months touring!
If you could email me I would love it

Love you loads

P.S.Good luck on releasing Wisemen! I hope it does well.

JHB,

It has been "a few months" and you are headed back to Boston this weekend. I was thrilled and got my tickets to come check out the show but soon realized that just as you go on tour so must I, and thus, I am out of town that night in NYC racing.

So I suppose that "a few months" will end up being longer, but hopefully not forever.

It's funny how our paths just seem to keep barely missing each other!! It looks like you are headed to Japan about a week after I will be there. I fly to Osaka on April 11 for a World Cup in Ishigaki the next weekend. Maybe one of these days our "tours" will end in the same city. :)

Anyway, safe travels in the US of A, have a great time, and maybe drop me a line sometime... we should catch up.

Cheers. xxx

This may be strange and you probably will never receive this message but here goes. You and Mr. P. Beard were in the Denver airport on your way to Vail Colorado on March 9 and you sat right by my husband. You let him take your picture and get an autograph. You were both very nice. Thank you for Spreading the love! I hope to go to your concert on the 30 of this month for my birthday, tickets are expensive. If I was at the airport that great day I would of told you that I believe you are a very talented musician and I can't wait for the your next album. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us through your music. It truly is beautiful.

Dear James,
I saw you on the Oprah Show, I have heard your song You're Beautiful, I did not know who you were until I saw you on Oprah. I went and bought your CD the following day. I love your album, maybe it is the voice, or maybe it is the eyes, I don't know I have been reading this message board and you have alot of young ladies after you. You are the beautiful one in a very special way, a very nice voice and I can relate to some of your songs, by the way is that a prozac on your album I thought it could be. You are a very talented young man, you probably have guessed by now I am an older woman althought everyone says I look 35 says I am beautiful I am 52, my father was from England my mother from Italy and I have been through some very hard and trying times probably like yourself, I live in the US and I am a recovering addict and your songs have touched my heart and soul. I may go see your concert when you come to Utah on March 31st. May God Bless you James and you be careful you are an incredible amazing young man take care.

YIPPEE!!! After some tense moments, my best friend and I have secured two tickets to the Orlando show from an auction site...had to pay lots but it will be worth it I just know! This was the show that sold out in 5 minutes -- I'm not joking. I think it must be a record!

I'm so excited to have a fabulous night out planned and it's all because of the music, the performance, all that is your music! Thank you and I hope to have the opportunity to get an autograph and a quick hello!

Take care James and be safe! See you on May 11th!

Hi James

Whoops! I think I have been listening to B2B a bit too much in the car recently. My 3 children have turned into mini blunt fans and now they know the words to your songs. My youngest is only 2 and he sings 'so hollow baby, so hollow baby'! I do have to turn the volume down on some of the lyrics and I'm sure they don't apreciate the depth of the lyrics like I do, but they love to sing along. My eldest one went into school yesterday singing 'Goodbye My Lover' at the top of his voice - hence the whoops!!!!!

I've seen some recent photos of you and you are looking tired (but still gorgeous) so I hope you get chance to rest soon and take care of yourself.

Your songs amaze me. Please don't stop!

Lots of Love
Jo

Dear James,

**HEARTFELT PLEA FROM KIWI FANS**

Please! Please! Please! Could / would you consider doing a 2nd New Zealand concert??

There are SO MANY people here who have missed out on tickets simply because they had no idea you were coming.

There has been NO publicity for your concert here (someone needs shooting!) so it was only us diehard fans who got tickets. I have STILL not seen, heard or read of your coming here, ANYWHERE!!

Now that U2 have also postponed their NZ visit until November, I am SURE that even those who had limited budgets & had (idiotically)chosen their gig over yours, would now be clamouring for tickets to see you too (that's "you too...not "U2"...confusingly bad pun! Sorry!)

Anyway...I'm getting tired of listening to people whinge about missing out on seeing you here so I'm hoping "the powers that be" might consider taking the gamble on a 2nd show & at least ADVERTISING it.

If you could see your way to making this happen for us, I will GLADLY single handedly promote the 2nd concert to ensure it too is a sell out!!

Not that us Kiwis are greedy or ungrateful or anything....it just seems unfair for so many to miss out through lack of publicity.

Thank you for your consideration. :-)

Best wishes,

Simone xxx

Dear James,

We just got home from the DC concert and I'm still walking in a daze. You guys were wonderful and The Boys also did a great job. The show was a well balanced mixture of known songs - which turned into a major sing-along - and new material - which we were very excited to hear and can't wait to get our hands on.
Please thank Malcolm for stopping to say hi while we were lining up front of the club. Have a great tour and I hope that as a start, you guys enjoyed the DC gig as much as we did in the audience. Thank you for tonight and also, thank you for this morning, for indulging my daughter and I for a couple of minutes front of the radio station. Oh, and please try to rest up in between gigs.

Much Love,

Agnes

Hey James, I forgot to say Congratulations for winnig the ECHO! Oh, I was so happy! I watched it in TV and then they said "Best Newcomer International"! And I said "ahhhhhhhhhh", and then they showed the different people who were nominated! And then after it, he said: And the man who sold at most is James Blunt! And I began braying! And then they showed what you said! Oh James, you speak German so cute!!!! I was so funny to hear you speaking German! Your accent was so lovely! I love it!You can speak German very good. Before it I have just known that you are abe to say "Ich bin ein kleines Marzipanschweichen" and "Dankesch–n", and "Es ist sehr heiþ hier drin" and "Ich spreche kein Deutsch"! But know you can say "Guten Abend. Ich heiþe James Blunt und mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut, aber vielen Dank f¸r diesen deutschen Schallplattenpreis". That is very good! Congratulations to that too! =)
I hope you will have a wonderful time in Amerika!
Thank you that you won, I think if you haven`t I would be crazy now!
Nicola.

Hi there James,

Just a quick hi from NZ. I wanted to thank you for so much. I've met some really outstanding people on this board. Your music not only touches people, but brings them together.

Horseychick and I are going to meet up for the first time at your gig with the intention of hopefully meeting you and the boys out the back of the St. James theatre. Fingers crossed you might come to the merchandising area. So we don't have to wait out in a really dodgey alley!

I know you probably get asked to do certain songs all the time, so here I go to ask for a special request. I would love to hear you sing Fall at your Feet. It's originally by a Kiwi (Neil Finn). I think that your Australasian audience would be so stoked to hear you sing that.

It will be a dream just to be there and to hear you and the boys live. Just thought it would be worth asking. I'd be stoked if you sang Mary had a little lamb.

Much luv and best wishes to you and the crew

Jen x

See you in 4 weeks.

You are a fascinating and talented artist and it's a great thing that you are conquering the globe.

So I hope you have a great Tour and I hope to get a chance to say "Hi!" on the 14th April!

Hi there,I've never joined as a member of a musicians web site before. So here I am. I just wanted to tell you that I was flipping through the channels and caught your performance on Oprah last week and was brought to tears. I ran out and bought your CD within a few hours! You didn't just perform your music you emulated it!!! Thank you! Your Goodbye My Lover reminded me of another GREAT poetic song from one of my favorite performers....Jeff Buckley. If you don't know who he is you would really like his Grace album. Your song reminded me of Last Goodbye. The most imcredible love song ever written. Atleast for me. You will be here in Illinois on the 25th I see. Wish I could see you!!!!Good Luck! Yours Truely, Melody

Hey James, me again. I don't understand still why your ex even left you(sorry about that bye the way). She was so lucky to have you to herself. I feel happy for the people who have actually met you or seen you in person. My dad has your book reserved so we can get it and a poster of you. I have all your songs on cd already. In your music vid "Goodbye My Lover" you Looked so sad. But that's the point of the song I guess. The main thing that won me over with you is your personality and your voice, but mainly your personality. If you do get the time can you write me at horseloverh2@aol.com?? I would be the happiest girl on the face of the earth. I'm your biggest fan ever!!! Well that's all for now bye

MUCH LOVE ALWAYZ ---{-@ <it's a rose 4 you. bye

Dear Mr. Blunt

Hello, even though you do not know me i know of you.I am 13 and i play the piano and sing, along with song write.I wrote 2 songs for school events. I really admire you as an artist because you have paved a way so that artists can put an edge to their music and make it almost dark and still make it sound 'pretty'. I enjoy your music to an extent where I can listen to any of your songs and not get bored.
What you seem to convey in your lyrics hold no boundaires and seems as if in every song you pour out your heart and your soul as a good artist should.
You sir, are the infamous James Blunt who gives hundreds of people inspiration and hope. I appreciate your work dearly - I can relate to you because i know that it's not about being famous [for me anyway] it's about the music , about feeling the soul and hearing the words and knowing what they mean.
I've tried getting your tickets and failed sadly enough, but i shall go to your concert eventually so i can hear you live. Until then Mr.Blunt

Have fun, enjoy and be proud of what you are accoplishing. For you sir are giving birth to something new that has profoundly made an impact on my life. As an inspiring artist my hat is off to you.

Thank you for enriching my life and others

Olivia

James & the Crew
Is it strange going into Starbucks for a tall skinny latte and finding BTB on sale? - that is of course, if they haven't sold out. It's great to see a Brit making it so big over here in the Land of the Brave, Home of the Free (which incidentally is utter nonsense). Anyway, you remind me of home..... Big congratulations & love VJ

James,

Thanks for your inspiring music. I can't explain how much I just adore your songs & the way they make me feel.

You've got such creativity with your words & I love how your songs are so beautifully tragic.

We all need an escape from life and I'm glad I've got your music to take my mind far far away.

Do the world a favour & never stop doing what your doing. You are an inspiration to many.

Can't wait to see you in Melbourne, AUS.

XO Brit :)

Hey James,
Well I've never actually wrote to any famous people before but here I go anyways...I thought your album was amazing! 'No Bravery' struck a chord in my heart, when I first heard it, my cousins were stationed in Iraqi at the time and I think in a weird way I seemed to feel what they felt, the courage and despair that they must have been experiencing. Even though the war seems so far away and so conntroversal, I believe this song, for the four or so minutes helped us to better appreciate the sacrifice they endure for the freedom of all. I view the war differently now, I now view it as couragious soldiers doing what others don't want to do and for that I give them so much respect (both present soldiers as well as past!
So thank you for opening up my mind to a different perspective!

I will see you soon at the State Theater in Minneapolis (Minnesota), I'll be the one in the front row of the balcony crying my eyes out during 'No Bravery'!

I'll wrap this up now and I hope I haven't bored you...make sure to bring a warm coat to Minneapolis...cause what can I say its Minnesota (insert laugh here) :-)

~Jessi

Hey James,
Back to Bedlam was simply amazing. I spent the entire Saturday I got the CD, downloading and swearing at my computer because apparently it has issues with it. I did get the album on my iPod though and it's been playing 24/7 there. You couldn't imagine how many times I've gotten my iPod confiscated at school for listening to "Goodbye My Lover" during class and trying to cover up my sniffles. Ugh...it's really weird because the only thing I can seem to think about is your next TV performance on TRL or how many times I'll play "No Bravery" when I get home. I can't help it, I'm obsessed. Your CD is an addiction. I love your music and it feels like I can actually connect with a lot of the messages that I think you're trying to convey to everyone else. Anyways, thanks for the brilliant album and I can't wait for the next one. Oh, and by the way, the next time you come to San Francisco please come on a Saturday so that I don't actually have to sneak out of my house on a Wednesday school night.
=]]

Hi James! I am a 30something Canadian woman who stumbled upon your talents while listening to Vigin Radio out of Britain on my computer- an excellent station...excellent tunes! Thruthfully, I'd heard, "Beautiful" previously and liked it....but who was this James Blunt British guy??? Then a friend turned me onto Virgin Radio and onto James Blunt. After your appearance on Oprah, which I watched like a deer in the headlights, I've been quite in love with your talent and style. You are upcoming in Montreal and Toronto and I am doing my best at arranging a flight/hotel/tickets for one of the shows!!! Keep up the good work and hang on for dear life- everything must be moving so fast for you right now. Congratulations and and I wish you every sucess and happiness!

You and your band of brothers were amazing last night

But I'm out of my mind

a hand shake, with both of us lost breaks my heart

I need you to bear with me a moment longer... i am ready, it just slipped away last night with doubt rolling in...

I did not catch Beardy, was ushered out

I will come again tonight, hoping I'm on the list... nice and easy

either/ or
you really want to speak or I'm out of my mind alone

I will always send you the greatest love and respect... would prefer to hold you for a week or two

say yes

was..........breath taking!

you guys were amazing!
but you, you were fantastic.
i love when you hold the neck of the guitar and just sing...you sing with such emotion.
your voice and lyrics touch my soul!
don't ever stop making music, please!

man, you guys should be playing radio city or madison square garden.
nyc loves you!
i like that karl got elavated, he really kicked ass.

and we're sorry we made you extra late for your afterparty. but beleive me, i really appreciated the hug. i never imagined i would get to hug one of my favorite musicians.i don't think i would ever get to hug bono, obviously never hug john lennon. but, 5 seconds of your time made my whole week, or maybe my whole year 2006.
lots of love,

James, I was caught off guard by your appearance on Oprah, I don't watch allot of TV but my girl friend recorded it & made me come over & watch. She was very excited, I think she's in love "Crystal even you will get your head out of whatever book your reading to take a look see at this one" I am glad that I caught it. Willie Nelson, Paul & John. Have been the only one's to move me to get a lil teary, and only my mother when she sings A'Va Maria on Easter can make me cry (me & all the old lady's in the front pews) But I had to add you to the teary grp so good job. Good luck to you. I hope the best for you. Keep plucking those heart stings & I'm sure you'll do well. My Love, C

Thank you. Thank you for you for handing me your guitar pick at the 9:30 Club in, DC on March 13th. It was a big deal for me, to say the least, and a great show for everyone. I'm so glad you're having the opportunity to share your gift. I attended the concert with my kids who met you briefly downstairs afterwards. My daughter was the tall red-head from the front row who wanted a picture with you. My son, also a singer/songwriter() , tried to take the picture. Unfortunately, the photo didn't work out and she's still blue about it. But if ever you return to our area, we'll be back to see you again and maybe get that photo.

Guitar Pick forever in my jewelry box,
I'd love to hear from you,
-Barbara

Hi James! I hope you really read this thread-as I pride myself in being your absolute biggest fan. I spotted you first on Saturday Night Live (had no idea who you were) and needless to say have been utterly head over heals ever since. Since then-I have consumed myself with buying your T-shirts, CD, educating others on who you are so they buy your stuff, and I even bought a James Blunt pillow case that I sleep on at night. Absolutely Miserable...I know.

I just went to your show in DC at the 9:30 Club...and it was amazing. I spent $200 on a ticket to the show (was sold out)just to have the chance to see you in a smaller venue. I was very close to the front of the stage- I tried to get to the very front row as I am only 5 feet tall...but many of the women were too caddy to and wouldn't let me have a closer look. Too much pushing, shoving, and rude comments for my taste. I had to settle for where I was!

Anyway- I hope to someday have the chance to meet you in person- even just for a photo. Every song of yours speaks to me deeper than you can imagine, and watching you perform/hearing your voice is so "aww" inspiring. Any advice on how I might ever have the chance to personally meet you? I'll travel anywhere! Hope you make it back to the 9:30 Club soon. If so-I'll be the cute, little one with blue eyes and brown hair watching you from the very front & center stage!! And no worries...I may look 16, but I'm actually 31!

All my love and best for the remainder of the 2006 tour. Try and get some rest and be sure to eat well!

I just read the message from Barbara...

Was James in the downstairs bar portion of the 9:30 Club after the concert? Did I miss my opportunity to meet him? I am heartbroken right now at the thought.

James-PLEASE COME BACK TO 9:30 CLUB IN DC...my life will be incomplete until I meet you and perhaps shake your hand. A phot would be wonderful as well.

Dear Mr. Blunt
I checked the first of the week to buy a ticket in SLC at the depot all sold out, I know there is probably no possible way to get one, will you be coming back?
You know there is a place in So. Ogden, Utah called the Dee Events Center a large stadium, this is where they held the Winter Olympics a few years ago and alot of Artist's do perform there. It would be great if you could see if you could perform at the Event Center, besides I live about 1 mile from there so I hope you do come to Utah again, this place the Depot is I think a private club, and maybe it would not be in my best interest anyway (recovering addict) but I was willing to take that chance. Sincerely Ms. Pauline Martin- God Bless take care answer back if possible hopefully you will come to Utah again-it is a beautiful place (but not my favorite place to live) if you know what I mean.

Hi James

I'm writing all the way from little old New Zealand - Hope your tour is going really well and everything you hope it would be.

I am so looking forward to your concert here (Well, in Auckland - I'm from Whangarei) - it has sold out as I expected. Next time you come to NZ - how about trying to make it up to Whangarei? The winterless North we call it - It's only 2 hours drive North of Auckland (45 minutes if you fly).

Take care on your travels and lots of love to you and your band (especially to you)xx

Can't wait till April 10th!

HOL Sharon xx

Hi James,

Ditto everything jen76 said.

We're both getting VERY excited about you coming to Auckland. We didn't know each other before "meeting" on the message board so it's true, your music really does bring people together & in the best of spirits!

We really hope you can spare us a couple of minutes after the Auckland show as we have a little something to give you & the band as a momento of your NZ visit.

We know you'll be exhausted so just a couple of minutes would be appreciated enormously!!

Keep safe & well James & please pass my warmest regards on to all of the band. I really don't know how you boys can keep the pace you do but we certainly appreciate it & are incredibly grateful to you for sharing so much of yourself with a bunch of strangers. :-D

All my best thoughts & wishes,

Simone xxx

I just wanted to say Thank-You James for awakening my spirit, for opening my eyes, and for giving me the courage to dream. I had lost touch with music in this crazy hectic world that we live in, and wasn't very intrested with what the media tried to push at me, but you, your voice, your songwriting, you did something for me. No, I'm not a musician but music does something for my soul and you have rekindeled that fire. Thank-You James

Hi James,

I just want to say Thank You for coming to Washington DC. I saw you at the 9:30 club. The gig was fantastic. You were absolutely amazing (though, I have to admit that I think Karl almost stole the show a couple of times - especially during So Long Jimmy!). Your band is great. I loved Same Mistake. Your talent and energy are awesome. Will you come to back to DC if we promise not to sing along to Goodbye My Lover?
